Mid-Unit Review Presentation/Feedback
Today I presented my Pitch Document in front of the tutors for our 'Mid-Unit Review', which is part of the course structure to determine what stage we're at in the project.
These were the slides I presented, which includes feedback:
Title: > Feedback: No comments, good layout and clean.

Overview: > Feedback: Clean, much better than before. Liked how the screenshot of the game was the main focus. Text is easily readable and well presented. The tutors liked how the overall design was structured to look very 'app-game like', with bold text and being easy to follow.

Gameplay: > Feedback:
Overall good layout and images are easy to understand. However, needs to show how the player will activate certain things. For example, showing that they will need to touch and hold their finger while moving it on the screen to aim.

Gameplay 2 > Feedback: Images are easy to understand, possibly less text?

Captains
> Feedback:
Good layout, possibly more captain artwork if time allows? However, they liked that the sillhouettes could indicate that those captains are not selected. Not feedback from the tutors, but I noticed a typing error where I should've wrote 'ability', instead of accidently writing 'abilitiy'.

Level Select
> Feedback:
Very easy to understand. I suggested to the tutors that I should turn some of the crystals grey to show that the particular level had not been unlocked yet, where they said that creating a padlock on top of them would be a good idea.

Levels: > Feedback: Visually very good. There could be more unique traits to each one such as a different weather condition, for example tornadoes, snow, rain e.t.c.

Progression:
> Feedback: I should condense '(After Completing Level 10(25) )' to simply '(Level 10/25)'. I should change 'New Visual/Skin' to just 'New Costume', as this could be considered gamer jargon.

Music:
> Feedback: Good music choices, fitting towards the theme. I didn't show the sound effects (which would be the sound of canons e.t.c with the in level music) because I am still working on it, this will be completed before the deadline however.

Platforms:
> Feedback: Easy to understand, no alterations really needed.

Changes to my Pitch Document after the Mid-Unit Review
Title Page: > No Changes

Overview: > Changes: I added an additional sign on the left side which states 'Touch, drag and Select'. During the mid-unit presentation I was told that it wasn't so obvious how the player would be able to use the controls, so instead of trying to squeeze in more text and information on my additional 'Gameplay' slides, I decided to place it here at the beggining instead.

Gameplay 1 > No Changes

Gameplay 2 > Changes: Although I was advised to remove more text, this is the one slide I decided against doing so. I feel like the diagrams weren't well enough explained by themselves and if I was to send this page to a potential publisher, they would most likely be confused with exactly what is happening without me presenting/explaining it. I haven't added a lot more text, just enough to clarify the diagrams more clearly. I have also added a purple glow where the health bar is, to indicate the shield canon is being used to heal the player (after an enemy ship has attacked).

Captains
> Changes: Fixed spelling mistake

Level Select
> Changes:
Added a padlock on some of the level numbers to show that they are currently locked, and that you can unlock them by completing the previous one.

Levels > Changes: As suggested by the tutors, I have added various weather conditions and interesting astrological features to the backgrounds, including snow, sunlight, rain, storms, constellations and shooting stars.

Progression:
> Changes:
Like the tutors suggested I condensed the sub-headings to just 'Level 10' and 'Level 25', and changed the gamer jargon 'New Visual/skin' to simply 'New Costume'. However, I also added 'Requires Gems' to the Captains side as I realised the page doesn't really specify how to apply the upgrades. Lastly, I changed the title 'Captains', to 'Captain Upgrades', just to clarify what kind of progression the captains would have.
