Since I've looked at how hand painted textures are drawn using 2D programs, it was now time to research and gain some visual inspiration of some 3D models that are hand painted (with cartoon-like features). Because I now have settled on the kind of structure I want, I thought now would be the most appropriate time to find models that appear similar. The biggest hurdle with this was finding cartoon-like water wheels, which seemed near impossible to gather. I opted to finding buildings and windmills instead however, which proved to be more successful.
Aesthetics: + Roof Tiles: All of these buildings have a very similar tile design, with the edges being slightly broken and uneven apart from the first which is shown.
+ Wood Plank & Stone: I will be using both these materials when creating my final piece, so these images have come in useful in terms of looking at the placement adjacent to other materials. For example, the wooden planks and tiles next to them.
