Progression Part 4

I thought I would use the same method and try again, however this time keeping the brush size very small and then scaling the feathers up immensely. The results of this turned out to exceed my expectations, and I was so elated to start modifying these new wings I had created which are pictured at the top. I have also picture the previous wings to compare. How I also achieved this look was stretching the feathers using the move tool before I modified them.

Now it was time to add the polypaint. I personally found it very challenging to use as it’s not the most accurate way to texture, however I liked how easy it was to apply colour. She was also currently made of "BasicMaterial" while at this stage, and at this point I was unaware if there were any strict rules to which materials we would be allowed to use. However, after asking about it on the facebook group however, I was assured that we were able to use whatever material we liked.

This diagram indicates where the pipes would start and end within my sculpt if this was a real life object. The water would pass through the hair from the wall, and out of her eyes and mouth. I personally chose not to add a tube inside my sculpt because I felt it wasn’t needed, especially if this was a games industry brief and they wanted to make assets as quickly as possible.
